Open Call: Producing Clinic with Jobina Tan

There are only a handful of venues in Singapore that programme and commission work. What are some existing opportunities for artists to get work programmed or commissioned by a venue? What are some considerations programmers have when making programming and commissioning decisions?

The Producing Clinic is an opportunity for producers and artists with concepts and ideas for development to seek insight and advice from experienced producers and arts managers. Each clinic will involve an open call for applicants to submit their project proposals and/or existing project write-ups for consideration, according to the remit of the clinic and the featured facilitator.

In this edition of the Producing Clinic, we get insights from veteran venue programmer, Jobina Tan, about establishing relationships with a venue as well as useful and important tips to consider putting into proposals for potential commissions.

If you've got a performing arts project in development, or a new idea that you've been thinking of pitching to a venue, here's your a good chance to get some critical feedback! Jobina will select up to 3 submissions for a one-on-one consultation, after which, we will have a peer sharing and presentation at our Producers Social #17 on Monday, 25th March 2019.

Please submit your details and supporting materials by Friday, 1 March 2019, 2359h: http://bit.ly/producers17
