Cui Yin Mok
Cui (pronounced tsuèi) (she/her) is an in(ter)dependent producer working across a range of disciplines. She is interested in the intersections between art, anthropology, and social action, and believes in working to make good art happen in better, and more ethical ways.
Her experience as a producer spans dance, music, theatre, contemporary performance, visual art, literary arts, socially-engaged works, experimental works, and festival production. She has produced / managed projects for independent artists, as well as organisations such as Asian Film Archive; Dance Nucleus; DesignSingapore Council; Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay; National Arts Council, Singapore; NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore; and The Substation. She was the first independent producer to be appointed as festival producer for Singapore Writers Festival, working on 3 editions of the festival between 2019–2021.
As a facilitator, she has designed and facilitated facilitated Open Space / Unconference events for the Institute of Policy Studies, Singapore Book Council, Sing Lit Station, The Arts House, Dance Nucleus, National Arts Council’s Arts x Tech Lab, and Voices of Singapore.
As a community organiser and arts advocate, she is an organising member of Producers SG, a member of the Asian Producers Platform planning team, and an international associate of Asia-Art-Activism in the UK. She has also also a member of the Arts NMP Secretariat since 2018.
Cui graduated from LSE with a BA (Hons 1st) in Social Anthropology, and from Goldsmiths College with an MA with Distinction in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy, with support of the National Arts Council Postgraduate Scholarship.
