NHB Minor Project Grant

The Minor Project Grant (supporting up to 50% of relevant total project costs, subject to a cap of $50,000) supports a wide range of community heritage projects; these include programmes, events and exhibitions. This grant supports projects with total project costs of S$100,000 and below.

For projects taking place after February 2024.

NHB Major Project Grant

Major Project Grant (supporting up to 50% of relevant total project costs, subject to a cap of $150,000) aims to provide a higher level of support for projects with the potential to make a significant and lasting contribution to Singapore’s heritage scene. This grant also encourages a stronger and more sustained ground ownership of heritage projects through partnerships.

The grant supports larger-scale community heritage projects that fall within exhibitions, publications, programmes, events, documentaries, galleries or corners. This grant supports projects with total project costs of S$100,001 and above.

For projects taking place after February 2024.

All grant applications will have to be submitted via the OurSG Grants Portal.

NHB Heritage Research Grant

The Heritage Research Grant (subject to a cap of $150,000) aims to encourage institutes of higher learning (IHLs), think tanks, heritage NGOs, academics and researchers to embark on heritage-related research for the documentation and preservation of Singapore’s heritage and its connectivity to the region.

HRG funding quantum is capped at S$150,000 per research project, and the grant supports research costs including manpower costs, costs associated with conducting fieldwork, as well as any indirect/ancillary research costs charged by the applicant’s institution. For 1-year projects, the maximum quantum is S$75,000.

For projects taking place after July 2023.
